For the first time ever, students can begin a bachelor's degree at Noroff in January. Noroff University College is now introducing an additional intake for Digital Assurance and Security Management, a programme designed to meet the growing demand for expertise in digital security.

Traditionally, August has been the only time of year to begin a bachelor's degree at Noroff. Now, the university college is marking a milestone by introducing a new study start on 12 January 2027.

This means prospective students no longer have to wait until autumn to begin their bachelor's education. The new intake is available for Digital Assurance and Security Management, a three-year online bachelor's programme combining technology, security and business understanding.

A growing demand for digital security expertise

As society becomes increasingly digital, the need to protect information, systems and digital assets continues to grow. Organisations across both the public and private sectors must navigate cyber threats, assess risks and comply with increasingly complex security requirements.

The demand for qualified professionals is significant. A study referenced in a Norwegian government white paper on digital security estimates that Norway could face a 25 percent shortage of digital security expertise by 2030.

The bachelor's programme in Digital Assurance and Security Management has been developed to address precisely these challenges. Students gain knowledge in areas such as information security, risk management, IT auditing and regulatory compliance.

The programme goes beyond understanding technology. It also focuses on making informed decisions that help organisations strengthen their security and protect their digital assets.

Opening doors to exciting career opportunities

By combining technical knowledge with strategic business insight, the bachelor's degree prepares students for a wide range of career opportunities. Graduates may pursue roles in information security, IT auditing, risk management and security leadership.

Career opportunities can arise even before graduation.

The new January intake is available as a full-time online programme lasting three years. The degree is accredited by NOKUT and eligible for loans and grants from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen).
