Important! Have you read the information on this page? It contains general information that is important for all vocational school students. Below you will find information about start-up related to your place of study.

Welcome as an online student!

Noroff Online Studies have four startups per year for Vocational programs; January, March, August and October.

Next start-up for Online Vocational Studies is Tuesday 11 August 2026, a new one on Tuesday 13 October 2026 and another Tuesday 16 March 2027.

You will receive a separate welcome mail with programme-specific information on the morning of the day your studies start.

First day of study

  • Login to the learning platform.
  • Register on Studentweb.

During the first week (the first two weeks for part-time students) you will complete an introductory course. This course will guide you through the learning platform, explain how the programme works and how you will be assessed.

Welcome as a student at Campus Oslo

Noroff welcomes all new and returning students to the start of a new academic year.

On Monday, August 10, there will be registration and a welcome session for all new students. Second-year students will begin classes on Monday, August 17.

If you are starting your second year at Noroff, please check TimeEdit for information about your first lecture.

First-year students should meet on campus for the welcome and orientation session (see your check-in time further down on this page).

Check-in takes place at Mølleparken 4, next to Wallmans Salonger. Meet at the reception on the 5th floor, where you will be directed to the auditorium for general information from the school’s administration and management.

Students will then be divided into classes and follow their lecturers, subject teachers, and buddies to the classrooms. Here, you will receive information about your study program and the plans for Buddy Week.

All students must register for their study program during orientation week. Registration is completed through Studentweb.

Buddy Week and Activities

The social activities during Buddy Week are open to all new students on campus and will be presented on registration day.

The full program will be presented at the start of the semester. Some activities are weather-dependent, and last-minute changes may occur.

Please check the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing, blankets, drinks, etc., as some activities may take place outdoors and continue into the evening.

Buddy Week 2026

Subject to change and weather permitting.

Buddy Week runs from Monday through Thursday. This year’s Buddy Committee is working hard to create a great start to the academic year and an inclusive student environment.

Monday, August 10

10:00 AM
Information session for the following Vocational School programs:

  • Graphic Design
  • Digital Marketing
  • Film Production
  • Sound and Music Production

11:00 AM
Information session for the following programs:

  • Backend Development
  • Network and IT Security

After the presentation, students will go class by class to their respective classrooms to get to know each other and receive general information from lecturers and buddies.

Use this time to also get familiar with the campus and your fellow students.

1:00 PM – Barbecue in the Park
The campus administration invites all students to a barbecue in the park.

The day continues with activities designed to help students get to know each other and will take place in Iladalen Park.

Tuesday, August 11

Time to be announced.

There will be activities on campus including Noroff Games, scavenger hunts in the buddy groups, and different activities showcasing the student communities.

The day concludes with the annual and very popular Music Bingo at Ringnes Brygghus, located right next to campus.

Studentsamskipnaden SiO

As a campus student at Noroff Vocational School in Oslo, you are automatically a member of Studentsamskipnaden SiO.

Through SiO you can apply for student housing, daycare, access health services, and work out at one of SiO’s many fitness centres.


We encourage everyone to actively participate in Buddy Week. It is one of the best ways to get to know your fellow students, the campus, and your new student city – and to become part of the student community.

Monday, August 10

09:00 AM: Registration and welcome for all new campus students.
Information from the campus administration followed by class gatherings with lecturers and buddies.

From approximately 4:00 PM: Gathering in the cafeteria and rooftop terrace at Noroff.

5:00–6:00 PM: Pizza

Evening: Singing/karaoke (tentative – more information will be announced later)

Tuesday, August 11

1:00–4:00 PM: Barbecue

Metz together with Fagskolen Vestland – time and more information will be announced later.

Wednesday, August 12

Chicken Run (bar-to-bar event) – one “chicken” from each school. Time and more information will be announced later.

Thursday, August 13

Kvarteret together with VID and Fagskolen Vestland – time and more information will be announced later.

Friday, August 14

From 4:00 PM: Pre-party in the cafeteria / rooftop terrace at Noroff.

6:00–11:00 PM: Hallaien

  • NOK 399 for a ticket to Hallaien

Student Welfare Organisation

As a campus student in Bergen, you are automatically a member of Sammen (the Student Welfare Organisation of Western Norway).

Through Sammen, you can apply for student housing, daycare placement, access healthcare services, and work out at one of the many fitness centres.

We recommend that everyone actively participates in Buddy Week, as it is the fastest way to get to know fellow students, the campus, and your student city. This helps create a strong student community for the coming academic year – and perhaps for life.

Noroff University College

Welcome to a great start as an online student!

We look forward to welcoming you as a new student at the kick-off meeting on Monday, August 10.

The kick-off meeting is a shared digital welcome session where you will get to know some of the people working at Noroff University College. You will receive useful information about your programme, how teaching is organised, and what you can expect as an online student.

The kick-off meeting is also a great opportunity to get an overview, ask questions, and feel confident before you begin your studies.

Before your studies begin, we will publish a detailed weekly plan containing practical information, important dates, and links to all digital sessions.

We have gathered everything in one place to make your start as simple and straightforward as possible.

First week: Introduction and Buddy Week

The first week is an introduction week. The main focus is getting to know each other. You will receive information about what it is like to study with us and what you can expect as an online student at Noroff University College.

During the first week, we will host our digital buddy week, Online Buddy Week, in the afternoons.

Here, you can take part in:

  • Get-to-know activities
  • Game nights and social hangouts
  • Tips and tricks for a successful start to your studies

Online Buddy Week is also a great opportunity to meet fellow students and build new connections from day one.
