Develop the skills needed to manage and improve digital products effectively. This course introduces agile and lean methodologies, equipping you with the tools to prioritize features, manage backlogs, and drive innovation using Jira.

This course provides a practical introduction to agile product management, focusing on iterative development, feature enhancement, and strategic product growth. You’ll explore ideation techniques, hypothesis testing, and roadmap planning to align product features with business objectives and user needs.

Through hands-on exercises, you’ll learn how to scope projects, build and test prototypes, and prioritize development using data-driven decision-making. The course emphasizes managing product backlogs, avoiding scope creep, and leveraging Jira to streamline workflows.

You’ll also develop essential communication skills for engaging stakeholders, pitching feature ideas, and fostering collaboration within cross-functional teams. By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and tools to refine, enhance, and sustain digital products in fast-paced, agile environments.

Accreditations: NOKUT-accredited. Approved for loans and grants from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen) on a part-time basis. As long as you take fewer than 30 credits per semester, you are considered a part-time student by Lånekassen. The requirement is that the study program must last at least one semester. If you wish to apply for financial support from Lånekassen, you must therefore choose the part-time study option. New regulations for funding education programs shorter than one semester may come into effect from autumn 2025. Read more about the competence loan here.
Duration and intensity: The course lasts 11 weeks on a full-time schedule or 22 weeks on a part-time schedule.

To qualify for the program, you must have general study competence or vocational education with a professional certificate. It is also possible to apply based on recognized prior learning.
