Payments, loans and grants

All of our studies are approved for loans and grants from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen).

Payments

The tuition fees from Noroff are claimed twice a year; in the beginning of each semester. The invoices are sent to your registered email address.

Noroff operates with four annual study startups. The table below shows which month the semesters starts in regards of the study startup. The tuition fees for each semester is due in the semester startup month.

The terms of the study contract defines a semester as a specific period of time. Part-time studies, by this definition, have twice the number of semesters compared to full-time studies.

Loans and grants

All the study progams at Noroff are NOKUT approved. NOKUT is the controlling authority for educational activity at all Norwegian universities, special field universities, university colleges and institutions with single accredited higher education programmes.

As a student at Noroff, you may be qualified for financial support from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen).

The main requirement for support from Lånekassen is that you are a Norwegian citizen. However, foreign citizens may also be entitled to financial support.

Loans and grants - what's the difference?

Financial support is the total sum of both grants and loans. A grant is money you are given, and a loan is money you must pay back.

Student Service Prices

NOK = Norwegian kroner, the Norwegian currency

Complete Course Resit Fees (applies to Noroff University College)

  • Entire Course Fees: 600NOK per ECTS outstanding. However, Noroff will deduct 20 ECTS from the overall price due regulations and the ability to proceed into the next year of study (If a student has 20 ECTS or less outstanding they may proceed into following study year).

Please note: if a student is in their final year of study and have courses that amount to 20 ECTS or less, they will need to pay the total amount of ECTS required to take by the aforementioned fee.

Exams

  • First attempt is always included in the tuition fee.
  • Resit exam (continuation): NOK 1.500,-

Assignments

  • Module Assignments: 500 NOK
  • Course Assignments: 1500 NOK

Project assignments

  • First attempt is always included in the tuition fee.
  • Resits (continuations) of projects/study projects/semester assignments: NOK 1.500,-

Papers

  • Certificate/diploma/graduation paper: The paper is included in the tuition fee.
  • Copy of or new certificate/diploma/graduation paper: NOK 1000,-
  • Transcript of grades (if you are not eligible for a certificate): One included in the tuition fee if you end the course program without passing all subjects. For additional transcripts: NOK 200,-
  • Confirmation letter confirming your enrolment state: Free for current student, NOK 200,- for former students
  • Additional costs for scanning and emailing of signed papers: NOK 50,-

Online delivery

  • Change of course/parttime/fulltime: NOK 3.000,-
  • Additional time beyond the standard study period to complete the course: NOK 10.000,-
