This course provides a comprehensive introduction to UI design and design systems, equipping you with the skills to create structured, scalable, and visually cohesive user interfaces. You’ll learn to develop reusable components like buttons, navigation menus, and micro-animations, ensuring design consistency across digital platforms.

School: Noroff Higher Vocational College (Noroff Fagskole)
Application deadline: Continuous admission. Applications are processed in the order they are submitted.
Language of instruction: English
Accreditations: NOKUT-accredited. Approved for loans and grants from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen) on a part-time basis. As long as you take fewer than 30 credits per semester, you are considered a part-time student by Lånekassen. The requirement is that the study program must last at least one semester. If you wish to apply for financial support from Lånekassen, you must therefore choose the part-time study option. New regulations for funding education programs shorter than one semester may come into effect from autumn 2025. Read more about the competence loan here.
Duration and intensity: The course lasts 11 weeks on a full-time schedule or 22 weeks on a part-time schedule.
Credits: 15 ECVET

Hardware and software

We recommend the following:

  • A PC or Mac with an operating system you understand well and can handle the Adobe suite.
  • i5/i7 processor or equivalent
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 500 GB HD
  • External storage (HD or cloud storage e.g., iCloud, Dropbox, etc.).

Admission requirements

Noroff has ongoing admissions, and applications are processed in the order they are received. The earlier you apply, the earlier you can secure a study place.

To qualify for the program, you must have general study competence or vocational education with a professional certificate. It is also possible to apply based on recognized prior learning.
