Lyd og Musikkproduksjon er utdanningen for deg som ønsker å jobbe kreativt eller teknisk med musikk og lyd. Du ønsker å bli artist, komponist, produsent, lydtekniker i studio, eller jobbe med lyd og musikk til film og andre medier.
Erfarne lærere med bransjeerfaring
Du vil være en del av et dynamisk miljø sammen med andre som deler din interesse for fagfeltet. Du vil bli undervist av erfarne lærere som jobber aktivt innen bransjen, og få god oppfølging underveis. Campus ligger sentralt plassert i Oslo eller Bergen, og tilbyr flotte studiofasiliteter og utstyr. Du vil lære følgende:
- Låtskriving og komposisjon
- Produksjon for forskjellige genre
- Opptak av vokaler og instrument-typer
- Miksing, lydetterarbeid og mastering
- Lyd og musikk til film og andre medier
- Hvordan musikkbransjen fungerer
- Lyd- og musikkteori
Studiets oppbygging
Det første studieåret blir du introdusert for et bredt spekter av emner innen faget, som forbereder deg på ulike oppgaver innenfor feltet. Fagområdene er komposisjon, musikkproduksjon, hørelære og musikk- og lyd -teori, og lyd til medier.
På det andre studieåret kan man velge å satse mer i retning komposisjon eller lydteknikk.
Gjennom hele utdannelsen vil både undervisning, oppgaver og evaluering ha en praktisk tilnærming. Studentene vil få muligheten til å jobbe med en rekke individuelle og gruppebaserte prosjekter
Du vil skape en stor portefølje med lyd- og musikkproduksjoner, hvor du har bidratt med ulike roller. Alle faglærere du møter har bred erfaring fra bransjen, de er mye til stede på campus og har et stort personlig engasjement for faget. Du vil ha tilgang på topp utstyrte studioer fra tidlig om morgenen til sent på kvelden.

Dette utstyret må du ha selv:
Laptop:
- En nyere Mac eller Windows-basert bærbar datamaskin for bruk med musikkprogramvare i klasser og prosjekter utenfor skolens studioer. Studentene vil bli tildelt en lisens for en DAW, gyldig for skoleåret, som kan brukes på alle skoleprosjekter. De fleste oppgavene kan også gjøres i egen valgfri DAW.
- Skolens studiodatamaskiner er alle OSX(Mac), og kunnskap om denne plattformen er en del av læreplanen, men det er ikke obligatorisk på personlige datamaskiner.
Lydgrensesnitt:
- Alle studenter må ha et lydinterface med minst 1 mikrofoninngang (XLR) og hodetelefonutgang. Det er mange rimelige alternativer, blant dem produkter fra Steinberg, Audient, Universal Audio Spark, SSL og andre. Spør oss om råd hvis du er usikker.
Hodetelefoner:
- Alle studenter må ha egne kablede, lukkede hodetelefoner av grei kvalitet for arbeid med individuelle oppgaver både på skolen og hjemme. Det er mange alternativer å velge mellom, men vi anbefaler å se på et av de tradisjonelle merkene som Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser, AKG.
Ytterligere krav for SMP2:
- Komposisjon: Rimelig programvarepakke med Virtuelle Instrumenter. Spesifikasjon følger ved semesterstart.
- Lydteknikk: En Pace iLok-dongle. Kan kjøpes i de fleste butikker som selger musikkutstyr
Lærer å drive plateselskap
Noroff Records er Norges første studentdrevne plateselskap og gir hovedsaklig ut låter av og med Noroff-studenter. Plateselskapet drives av andreårsstudenter. Mot slutten av det første skoleåret får studentene opplæring slik at de er klare til å overta driften.
Plateselskapet er delt i to avdelinger: Noroff Records Oslo og Noroff Records Bergen. Selskapet har lisensavtale med Edda Music i Bergen og Musikkoperatørene i Oslo. Disse vil stå for opplæring av promotering og markedsføring i forbindelse med utgivelser. En samlet liste over utgivelsene finner du her.
Jobbmuligheter
Studiet utdanner i hovedsak musikkprodusenter, låtskrivere og teknikere innenfor musikk og mediebransjen. Vi har også studenter som gjør det bra som artister.
Bachelor i utlandet
Etter to år på lyd- og musikkproduksjon i Oslo eller Bergen, er det mulig å ta et tredje år ved en av våre samarbeidsskoler i utlandet, noe som vil gi en bachelorgrad. Man kan velge mellom BIMM-instituttet i London og flere andre byer, eller University of South Wales i Cardiff.
