On January 12, 2026, Noroff University College will launch a new six-month online programme worth 30 ECTS, combining programming, business processes, finance, and information security.

Digitalisation and artificial intelligence are transforming the workplace at unprecedented speed. At the same time, the risks related to cyber threats are growing, and organisations across all industries are in need of professionals who understand how technology, finance, and governance come together. To meet this demand, Noroff University College now introduces the short programme Digital Business and Information Security.

– The industry is asking for candidates who can combine technological skills with knowledge of finance and governance. This short and flexible programme provides exactly the type of competence that many companies are missing today, says University College Director Anita Karlsen.

She emphasises that the programme has been developed in close dialogue with industry stakeholders and is particularly suited for professionals seeking to quickly strengthen their digital competence./p>

– A strong foundation

The programme gives students an introduction to programming, business processes, accounting, and information security, with a strong emphasis on how AI is influencing each of these areas. Students gain practical tools to contribute from day one in their organisations, while also earning recognised credits that can be carried into the bachelor’s degree in Digital Assurance and Security Management.

– The academic content is structured so that students learn the fundamentals of programming and business processes while understanding how finance and security are connected. This provides both breadth and a strong foundation for further studies or professional roles, says Rector Emlyn Butterfield.

Noroff University College currently offers bachelor programmes and short courses within technology and digital media. The institution has a strong focus on artificial intelligence and how it is reshaping the job market. All programmes are developed in close collaboration with industry partners and are continuously updated to ensure students gain skills that are directly relevant and in demand.
