Mariska de Lange (N.Dip IT, B.Tech IT, M.Tech IT, Associate C|CISO)

Mariska de Lange is a Cyber Security professional with over 13 years of experience across consulting, corporate leadership, and professional training. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Noroff University College, bringing a strong industry background in Cyber Security strategy, risk management, and IT audit / governance.

Her career includes roles at PwC and Deloitte, where she supported clients across various industries with Cyber Security audits, risk assessments, threat intelligence, strategy and compliance initiatives. Mariska later led the Enterprise Security Services division at MTN Business, where she was responsible for the development and rollout of various Cyber Security products and solutions across multiple African markets.

Throughout her career, Mariska has delivered Cyber Security training to clients and colleagues, presented at leading industry events, and contributed to driving Cyber Security awareness across the African continent. She holds a Master’s degree in IT Information Security (Cum Laude), a B.Tech degree in IT Communication Networks (Cum Laude) and a N.Dip in IT Communication Networks. She is also a Certified Associate Chief Information Security Officer (C|CISO) and ISO 27001 Lead Implementer (Cum Laude).

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Mariska’s research interests include Cyber Security education, IT audit / governance, cyber risk management, and digital safety for children. She is passionate about bridging the gap between theory and practice, and promoting inclusive Cyber Security awareness in developing contexts.
