: Mr. Piet Delport is an active researcher in the domain of Cybersecurity. Various publications have been made, ranging from general information security practices and IT governance practices. In addition to being actively involved in research in this area, Mr. Piet Delport taught information security and IT governance at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

RESEARCH INTERESTS

Mr. Piet Delport’s research interests are in the area of information security and overarching cybersecurity. Furthermore, his interest extends to include corporate governance with the focus on IT Governance. Furthermore, Mr. Piet Delport is actively engaged with post-graduate students in a supervisory role. He is supervising master students in topics varying from public sector IT governance frameworks to digital transformation initiatives in small to medium enterprises.

CONSULTANCY, COMMERICAL WORK AND INDUSTRIAL CONNECTIONS

Mr. Piet Delport has contributed in the creation and adoption of an ICT Charter for a South African local government entity.
