Information about Noroff's application process.

You apply for the programs at Noroff through this site.

Who can apply?

The application window for applicants with a residence permit or citizenship outside EU/EEA*, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and USA is in January. This applies to all our studies, both online and campus.

Applicants outside EU/EEA can apply between 1st of January and 31st of January.

For applicants with a residence permit or citizenship inside Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, the application deadline is the startup-date for the program. For instance, if the startup-date is the 10th of August, you can apply until the 10th of August.

For applicants with a residence permit or citizenship from other EU countries, the application deadline is the 1.st of April for our studies that have a startup-date in August.

For applicants with a residence permit or citizenship outside EU/EEA the deadline is 31st of January.

For all other startup-dates the application deadline is two months prior to the startup-date.

Application is submitted through our application form. You must submit one application per study program you are applying for. You can change the priority order at any time after submitting the application. The applications are processed in the order they are received.

1. Please upload documentation of residence permit from where you have been living for the past six months, unless you have citizenship in one of the countries listed in «who can apply». You have to upload this proof before we can start proceeding your application.

2. To see what other documentation you need to upload, please see the admission criteria here.

3. When you have submitted your application, please upload all needed documents in our application portal.

     a. If you have the documentation available in a digital platform, you can take a screenshot and upload it with your pc/Mac/mobile.

     b. If you have the documentation printed out, please take a photo or scan the documentation before you upload it.

4. Documents submitted must be official and in English or a Scandinavian language. If your documents are in any other language, please submit both your original documents and a certified English translation.

5. If you already have your education approved by NOKUT, please upload this in your application.

Noroff reserves the right to request official copies of all documentation and/or contact the educational institution issuing the documents to verify authenticity as part of the evaluation for admission.

After we have received all the needed documentation and you fulfill our requirements, we will send you an offer of enrollment. Please log in to “My page” in our application portal to answer the offer.

Normally, there is a 14-day response deadline for study offers at Noroff. However, there may be a shorter response deadline in cases where there is a waiting list or when the study start date is approaching quickly. In such cases, you will receive specific instructions regarding the deadline. It is important that you accept the study offer well in advance and at least before the deadline expires, to avoid the risk of your offer being canceled.

For applicants with a residence permit or citizenship inside Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden the registration fee needs to be paid approximately two-three weeks after you have been given an offer of enrollment. The tuition fee must be paid within approximately four weeks after you have started the study. You will receive the invoices through e-mail.

For applicants from other countries except Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden(You can see a list of these countries under the headline “Who can apply?”), the deadline for paying both the registration- and tuition fee is the 15th of April.

You can see how much the tuition fee is by looking at the specific program you want to study.

For applicants with a residence permit or citizenship outside the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden), you need to pay a living deposit for one year that correspond with the fee UDI decides each year. You can check how much you need to pay for a one year living deposit by searching up your country of living at UDI. The one year living deposit is in addition to the registration- and tuition fees.

This means that you need to pay:

1. Registration fee

2. Tuition fee for one year

3. Living deposit for one year

The total amount you need to pay vary each year, as the living deposit that UDI decides and our tuition fee changes each year.

You can apply for VISA through this site.

When you become an active student in August, you need to inform us in order for us to refund the money for the living expenses as well as half of the tuition fee. We will keep the registration fee and the tuition fee for the fall semester.

UDI is the department that process your VISA application. If needed, we can provide a confirmation of enrollment for you. Usually, UDI needs a document stating that you have paid the fees before you apply for VISA.
