Praktisk informasjon om nettstudier fagskole

This page contains practical information about our bachelor programs. An overview of the programs is at the bottom of the page.

Practical and theoretical learning

Our bachelor's degree combine practical and theoretical learning. Your curriculum is developed in close collaboration with industry partners, so that you will be ready for professional life after completing your education at Noroff. Our teachers have both research and industry experience, ensuring that the education is relevant and up to date.

A typical week as a bachelor student

You will have lectures and tutoring sessions each week and compulsory assessments at various points throughout the course. You decide whether to watch lectures live or as a recording, as long as you follow the curriculum and deadlines on assignments.

Lecturers and tutors are available during course-time, so use your time on campus wisely. How you spend your evenings and weekend are up to you – but keep in mind that feedback on forums tend to be given during daytime. Given this freedom and flexibility, it is very important that you show discipline and plan your studies well.

To get the most out of your studies, we recommend that you plan your weeks carefully and establish good study habits from the beginning. Our best advice is that you plan each week carefully, and make sure you establish good study habits from the beginning. Use forums to discuss with your classmates and ask your tutor for guidance!

Your digital classroom

You will spend most of your time in our digital classroom. This is an online tool where you will have access to learning material, task- and project descriptions, submissions and activity reports – and chat forums for communicating with lecturers, tutors and fellow students. At the start of your study, you will be introduced to the digital classroom and learn more about how your study works.

The digital learning platform both allows and encourages you to connect with your fellow students. You may discuss, collaborate and inspire each other, which can be very helpful throughout your learning experience.

Language

All lectures, tutorials and communication are in English. It does not mean that you must be fluent in English, but you must be able to understand and communicate. If you have good experience with English from high school, then it should be more than good enough.

Diploma

Studying online is becoming more common. Campus- and online students have access to the same learning material and follow the same fixed progression plan. Your diploma will accordingly have the same value as campus students.

Work alongside your studies?

Working alongside your studies may be necessary for some students, but it requires an organized schedule.

As a full-time student, you are expected to study 40 hours per week (equivalent to having a full-time job). We never recommend studying full-time combined with a full-time job. It may be combined with a part-time job, as long as your studies are your top priority.

If you need to work alongside your studies, we recommend you to plan each week carefully so that it does not affect your studies.
