Hannah has always had an interest in creative hobbies. When the pandemic hit and she was looking for new ways to express herself, her interest in drawing and painting led her into the world of digital graphic design.
– I tried Illustrator and found it very enjoyable, she says.
After seeing an advertisement for graphic design at Noroff, Hannah MacGeh (29) realized that this was something she wanted to learn more about – so she started the online course in 2021.

Educational Online Studies
The studies at Noroff have not only been educational but also incredibly engaging for Hannah. Through a wide range of subjects such as photography, motion design, layout, and logo design, she has significantly expanded her knowledge and skills.

Guidance from teachers has been a positive aspect of her online learning experience. She consistently receives constructive feedback, and any issues are promptly addressed. She also appreciates the user-friendly interface of the Moodle learning platform.
- The course is incredibly educational, exciting, and interesting, and since these are online studies, I have learned to become even more independent and a bit more disciplined.
Structure is the key to successful online studies, and Hannah has found her own way to organize her study routine.
– I am not the most structured person, but finding routines that work for me has been crucial.
She continues:
– The biggest advantage of online studies is the flexibility. You can work when it suits you best. Creating a plan at the beginning of the week has also been very helpful, she explains.
Internship at Qvitre
During the final phase of her studies, Hannah completed an internship at Qvitre, a graphic design agency. This experience provided her with valuable insights and allowed her to apply the knowledge she gained in a practical setting.
– The tasks we worked on at school were very similar to the projects I was assigned during the internship. It was fantastic to see how relevant and prepared Noroff had made us for the real world, she says, satisfied.

She further describes her experience with Qvitre as absolutely fantastic.
– Having the opportunity to have an internship while studying is invaluable. You get a real glimpse of how the industry works, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain valuable references.
She continues:
- For those who might be anxious about starting an internship, I would say that many agencies are very good at guiding and taking care of interns. You are there to learn, and it's a fantastic opportunity to do just that, she concludes with a smile.
Advice and Goals
Hannah's advice to fellow online students is to have a genuine passion for the field.
– You really have to want to learn and have a genuine interest in what you're studying. You only have yourself to motivate you.
Looking ahead, Hannah has clear aspirations.
– I really want to work within a graphic design agency and learn as much as possible to become as good as I can be.
