Sahar Yassine is an associate professor and active researcher in Applied Data Science domain. She received her PhD from Universidad de Alcalá, Madrid, Spain. Sahar has extensive experience spanning more than 15 years in the higher education sector. She has taught several courses in the core data science field including algorithms, machine learning, learning analytics, and data visualization as well as courses in mathematics, statistics, programming, and databases. Sahar is an active member in various research groups including AIL-The Artifical Intelligence Lab at Noroff University College. She is also a member of IET, IEEE, and the IEEE computer society and is the representative of the Computer Society Chapter in IEEE Norway Section.
Research Interests
Sahar’s research interests focus on bringing together different data science areas and using scalable algorithms for large-scale inference problems. She has developed her research activity in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning and applying data analytics to investigate and integrate with different disciplines including social sciences, learning, health, and computational science.
