Noroff School of Technology and Digital Media is a private school offering vocational education, university college programs and short courses online and at Campus Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen and Kristiansand within the fields Applied Computer Technologies and Digital Media & Arts. Noroff School of Technology and Digital Media and DigitalNorway offer three short courses, with the aim to introduce topics within Security for Business. It covers Defensive Corporate Intelligence which consider what and how an attacker might be interested in your systems and information and prevent them from getting it! In addition, it covers your employees which are your greatest asset and potentially your biggest risk. And last, it covers physical security which includes different steps  (physical, procedural, personnel and electronic) that are taken to protect your information from an adversary, not just a firewall.

The course starts off by exploring the term “Risk”. Further, it covers information security which is about spotting potential attacks and training of staff – from the low level employees to the upper-management – to avoid attacks. The course also covers hacking and types of attacks, because it is very easy to fall into a grey area or even to cross over to becoming a malicious attacker, even if one did not mean to. And finally, it covers data security and security culture.
