Jean-Clive Bailey is a content developer and lecturer at the Accelerate courses. He obtained a Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in Computer Science, specializing in computer vision and rapid prototyping, at Rhodes University in South-Africa.

He has worked as a freelance researcher, consultant, and software developer in South-Africa for six years, in addition to a year as an augmented reality framework specialist at a mobile gaming company. More recently he has been developing bespoke web applications for clients based in the United States of America, and has an interest in modular software development for mobile use. He has ten years of experience using a myriad of different programming languages, with a strong affinity for Python and JavaScript. His research interests include data privacy, computer vision, augmented reality, mixed reality, and lateral problem solving using smartphones.
