Dave King is an animation director, script writer, producer and storyboard artist. Born on the bank of the River Thames, in London, he began his career in the fashion industry before moving into comic books, newspapers, books and magazines, working with companies including Marvel Comics UK, The Telegraph, Warner Bros Worldwide Publishing and DC Comics.

Segueing into animation, he worked on TV series, commercials and music videos with many of the UK’s major studios on TV series, including Cosgrove Hall, Passion Pictures and long associations with Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Touchwood Animation. He also worked with clients including the BBC, Sky, MTV, Viasat and Red Bee Media.

In 2010, he moved to Norway to work in animation education, and has since taught at schools including Volda University College, Nord University, Arts University Bournemouth in the UK, Griffith College, Dublin, and VIA University/The Animation Workshop, in Viborg, Denmark.

As well as teaching storytelling at Noroff, he runs Dave King Creative, developing films, series and multimedia projects. He is still waiting to be discovered for his talents as a lounge singer.
