Important! Have you read the information on this page? It contains general information that is important for all vocational school students. Below you will find information about start-up related to your place of study.

Welcome as an online student!

Noroff Online Studies have four startups per year for Vocational programs; January, March, August and October.

Next start-up for Online Vocational Studies is Tuesday, 12 August 2025. Then there is a new start-up on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, a new one on Tuesday, 6 January 2026, and another Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

You will receive a separate welcome mail with programme-specific information on the morning of the day your studies start.

First day of study

  • Login to the learning platform.
  • Register on Studentweb.

During the first week (the first two weeks for part-time students) you will complete an introductory course. This course will guide you through the learning platform, explain how the programme works and how you will be assessed.

Welcome as a student at Campus Oslo!

Noroff welcomes all new and returning students to the start of a new academic year.

Monday, August 11 is the welcome day for all new students. Second-year students will start on Monday, August 18. Please check TimeEdit to see when your first lecture is if you are starting your second year at Noroff.

First-year students meet on campus for welcome and orientation (see your meeting time further down in this information letter).

Attendance is at Mølleparken 4, next to Wallmans Salonger. Please report to the reception on the 5th floor, where you’ll be directed to the auditorium for general information from school administration and leadership. After that, you’ll be divided into classes and guided by your lecturers and student mentors to your classrooms for program-specific info and a fadder week plan.

All students must register during their program’s introduction week. Registration is done via Studentweb.

Activities

Fadder week’s social events are common to all new campus students and will be presented on registration day. A full program will be announced then, and some events depend on the weather, so last-minute changes may occur.

Keep an eye on the weather forecast and bring appropriate clothing, blankets, drinks, etc., as some activities may be outdoors and continue into the evening.

Fadder Week 2025

Changes may occur and are subject to weather conditions.

Fadder week runs from Monday through Thursday. Below is a tentative program. This year’s mentor committee is working hard to ensure a great experience.

Monday, August 11

  • 10:00: Information from campus for the following programs: Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, 3D Design and Game Technology, UX Design, Film Production, and Sound and Music Production.
  • 11:00: Information from campus for the following programs: Backend Development, Network and System Administration, Network and IT Security.

Afterward, students go to their classrooms by class to get to know each other and receive general information from the program instructors. Take this time to get familiar with the campus as well.

Information from campus administration for new university college students/NUC Online+ will be provided later.

13:00: BBQ in the park. The campus administration will serve grilled food in the park. The day will continue with activities to help you get to know your fellow students and will take place in Iladalen Park.

Tuesday, August 12

Time to be announced, but the plan is for on-campus activities including Noroff Games, a scavenger hunt with various mentor groups showcasing what the classes have to offer. The day ends with the annual and very popular Music Bingo at Ringnes Brygghus, just next to the campus.

More details will follow and may include:

  • Scavenger hunt in Oslo’s parks
  • Comedy night at Chateau Neuf (student house at Majorstua)
  • Gaming night at House of Nerds, etc.

As a vocational student at Campus Oslo, you are automatically a member of the Oslo Student Union (SiO). Here, you can apply for student housing, kindergarten, get a GP and other health-related services, and train at many gyms. OnlinePLUS students will receive a form by email to fill out.

We highly recommend participating actively in fadder week, as it’s the fastest way to get to know your fellow students, the campus, and your study city — helping create a close-knit student community for the year ahead, and maybe for life.

Welcome as a student at Campus Bergen!

Noroff welcomes all new and returning students to the start of a new academic year.

On Monday, August 11, there will be a welcome gathering for all new students. Returning students who are not buddies (faddere) start on Monday, August 18. You can check TimeEdit for your first lecture if you are a returning student (schedule available by late June).

Please arrive on campus for the welcome gathering at 09:00.

We will meet in the cafeteria by the main entrance at 09:00. You will receive general information from the school and from Sammen, the student welfare organization in Bergen. After that, you’ll be divided into classes and go with your lecturer and buddies to your classroom, where you will get information about your subjects and the plan for buddy week.

  • 09:00: Information from campus and Sammen.
  • Classroom sessions – Get-to-know-you games.

This is the day when the buddies meet their groups. Since it's the beginning of the week, the pace will be relaxed, focusing on helping everyone get to know their buddy group. There will be a pre-party in the cafeteria with pizza served between 16:00–17:00 for everyone. If the weather is good, we’ll be on the rooftop.

The full schedule and exact times will be shared by your buddy on Monday and may change depending on the weather.

Tuesday, August 12 – Friday, August 15

Tuesday

  • Daytime scavenger hunt.
  • Buddies host pre-parties for their groups.
  • Evening theme party at Biblioteket with VID and Fagskolen Vestland.

Wednesday

  • 12:00–14:00: BBQ in Nygårdsparken (weather permitting — may be moved to Thursday).
  • 17:00–21:00: Bar crawl with VID and Fagskolen. Route: Alltid Oppltt, Lille, Børs Kjelleren, Duo, and Rævdilter.

Thursday

  • If the weather is better than the previous day, BBQ will take place today instead.
  • Evening activity to be announced.

Friday

Last day of Buddy Week. Buddy groups will host their own pre-parties, with an option for everyone to meet in the cafeteria or on the rooftop for a final gathering.

In the evening, “Hallaien” takes place – a ticketed event (more information will be provided at the start of Buddy Week).

As a vocational college student at Noroff Bergen, you are automatically a member of Sammen, the student welfare organization in Bergen. If you’re an OnlinePLUS student, a form will be sent to your student email.
