Noroff University College has just had its first 3D printer delivered. This will mainly be used by our 3D students to render some of their designs.
The Ultimaker 2 printer is one of the leading brands in 3D printing in terms of speed and accuracy. Using fused filament technology, it can achieve a print resolution of 20 microns. With a heated print bed it can produce highly detailed features. David Froholt, tutor in 3D at Noroff University College, has already put the machine to the test:

3D printed award
One of the first tasks for the printer will be creating the Digin and Sparebanken Innovation Award for the digital conference "CHANGE IT ", at Kilden Kulturhus on 18th of March 2015. The award will highlight innovation in IT/digital solutions, and will be presented the company that has developed new innovative products and solutions.
