How is AI used in the Digital Marketing programme?

We will teach you how to use AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, Canva, HubSpot, and Google Ads to enhance marketing strategies. You will gain hands-on experience with AI in both content creation and analysis, learning how AI can assist with everything from generating marketing materials to analyzing data.

We emphasize the importance of critically assessing AI-generated results. This will equip you with the skills to use AI effectively while maintaining professional integrity.

AI is used to automate tasks such as data collection, audience segmentation, and campaign optimization. Learning outcomes

The programme starts with a comprehensive understanding of the key areas of digital marketing. You'll learn the basic principles, strategies, target audiences and how to create relevant and engaging content. You'll also gain insight into improving website performance and user experience to maximise conversions. The programme also emphasises social media marketing and creativity in communications. You'll learn how to measure and analyse the results of campaigns, and how to make adjustments based on what you learn.

Finally, you will complete a project exam, giving you the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge in a practical context and gain valuable experience in developing and implementing a comprehensive digital marketing strategy.

Hardware and software

You are recommended to have:

  • A 500GB Hard Disk (or 250GB + cloud storage like Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive - recommended).
  • 8 GB RAM.
  • Core i5 processor.
  • Smartphone with a good camera.
  • Both PC and Mac can be used.
  • Website domain and hosting.

Please note: This is a general recommendation, and the student must assess how much storage space they need based on other use cases. If you are buying a new machine for studies, we recommend one with an SSD as they perform faster. It is desirable that students use their machines, but there are also desktop machines on campus that can be used. As a campus student, you will receive all necessary licenses on your private machine.

Admission requirements

Noroff has ongoing admissions, and applications are processed in the order they are received. The earlier you apply, the earlier you can secure a study place.

To qualify for the program, you must have general study competence or vocational education with a professional certificate. It is also possible to apply based on recognized prior learning.

For international students, depending upon which country you have received your education from, the requirements will differ. Please use this website where you can find the specific requirements for your country at the bottom of the page.

Financing

All our study programs are approved for loans and grants from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund (Lånekassen). You can apply to the Loan Fund for basic support (loan and grant; NOK 166.859) and tuition fees (NOK 79,432).

As an adult student, you can receive loans and grants from the State Educational Loan Fund. This also applies if you work while studying.

As a main rule, you must be a Norwegian citizen to receive support from the Norwegian State Educational Fund. However, foreign citizens may also be entitled to financial support. Check here to see if you are eligible.

Bachelor's Degree Abroad

After completing one year of Digital Marketing at Noroff, you can apply for direct entry into the BA (Hons) Advertising program at the University of South Wales. You'll spend two years abroad and graduate with an internationally recognised bachelor's degree. This opportunity is also available to online students.
