Every year, the school hosts Animex, a major international animation and computer games festival. Animex is run on the University Campus by school staff and since its inception has hosted presentations by companies like Pixar Animation Studios, WETA Digital, Industrial Light + Magic, Dreamworks, Klasky Csupo, Aardman Animations, Framestore CFC, The Moving Picture Company, CORE Digital Pictures and many others.
Visitors have included Nancy Cartwright, Ray Harryhausen, Michael Dudok De Wit, Bob Godfrey and Paul Dreissen. The event hosts a major animation screening programme, professional workshops and events that give students an opportunity to meet some of the key players in the animation world. Some graduates from the school have gone on to work at some of the major studios around the world (Industrial Light + Magic, Dreamworks, ESC Entertainment, Framestore CFC, The Mill and Aardman Animations) others have taken the opportunity to set up their own studios with support from the University's Digital City Project.
The School of Computing recognises Noroff as a high quality institution with professional and enthusiastic staff and we are delighted to allow students graduating from Noroff to enter the final year of a Bachelor's course in Animation or the second year of a Computer Games course.
In addition, students who complete these Bachelor's programmes with good results ill be allowed direct entry onto a one-year Master's programme.
