Greeting from Glamorgan

The staff at Glamorgan would like to welcome you to the University of Glamorgan!

Internationalisation is a fundamental objective of the University and we provide strong support for students from abroad. The student services international office will help you to adapt to the culture, and the English Language School and Education Drop In-Centre can assist you with language issues.

The computer science group at Glamorgan are energetic researchers, attaining a grade four in the research assessment. The School of Computing builds upon this research foundation while retaining a strong focus on teaching.

All the facilities for computing students are located on a single site. This includes the halls of residence, computer laboratories, lecture theatres and the library, providing a complete learning environment. This is complemented by the use of web based managed learning systems, such as Blackboard, to provide online resources.

Additionally, some of our degree courses have been tailored specifically to meet the needs of International students; the "BSc (Hons) Network Security for International Students" has been created in consultation with Noroff to complement the Network and System Administrator and Digital Security and Intelligence courses.

The University has strong ties with the local community and is a few miles north of Cardiff, Europe's youngest capital city. There are excellent rail and bus services to the city centre and links to nationwide travel systems. Reasonably priced air travel to and from Norway is available from all our major airports.
