The DIGIN IT Cluster Security Conference was held at the Bystranda Hotel in Kristiansand recently with Noroff students and staff in attendance.

Professor Sutherland was guest speaker

Professor Iain Sutherland was one of the speakers with a presentation on ‘How Smart is a Smart Device” focusing on some of the risks in the Internet of Things. The conference explored a broad range of topics relating to the current state of security in Norway. Noroff students studying Digital Forensics also had an opportunity to attend hearing presentations from organizations such as NTT Com Security, EVRY, NSR and Agder Energi. The conference included a live hacking demonstration by the penetration testing team at Bitpro showing the weaknesses in wireless security.

Noroff was also one of the exhibitors, Tor Michal Kinn said “There was a lot of interest at the stand about what we are teaching at Noroff, including one of the delegates who was keen to employ our students!”
